it's a good product, sturdy with good utility. the only quibble is the instruction booklet; rough literal english translations (presumably from chinese) add considerably to the time spent assembling the thing. but with patience you'll get there - quite simple really, but a warning to know how to drill a slot before you start. but all the parts are there and the hardware functions well. also it's the cheapest outdoor barn door i found.Depending on your application and whether or not you use a board behind the rails, get ready to cut the bolts. The bolts are too long making clearance between the door and wall an issue. Free drilling the holes for the bolts I used a forstner bit to sink the nut below the surface and then cut the bolts even with an oscillating tool. Also if you are installing 2 doors on the same rail as I did place the roller harder at least 2 inches in from the side to allow the doors to close with no gaps. This is to make room for the rollers which extend past the hardware. All in all this product served its purpose and looks great. I would definitely buy again if needed. This was a great buy looks fantastic, but like most DYI-er I had some notes. 1 the bolts for the door were to long and I had to grind them. 2 the part that you attached to the door hangs to far out I started to grind it down but decided I was to tired to keep messing with it and left it alone. Those 2 things will scrape along the wall so PLEASE make a note of this before buying. If anyone wants me to submit pictures I can so you can see what I mean.I bought two of these and mounted them together to create a bypass system. Took some trial and retrial, but I got there. It worked perfectly to get the barn door sliding under a low ceiling.I don't recommend this style of rail unless your need to mount it to a ceiling. The reason is that it makes quite a bit of noise when sliding open and closed. I've seen other styles for wall mount that are silent. The hanging brackets are sturdy. Except they don't really look like the brackets illustrated. The product pics must be CAD drawings. The brackets are rounded at the bends and the slots are not level with the door. I had to do some fenagling to get the bolts for the rollers tight and keep the doors level. Also the bracket bolts are so long I had to cut them. This is a very sturdy system. Its was made of steel and able use heavy doors for security..Great qualityIt's not very easy to rolle nore easy to install.First do not follow the directions they suggest you mount the upper track flush against the wall and ceiling if you do that the actual bracket that mounts to the door will rob against the wall regardless of how far you try to adjust the door out II reinstall the bracket about a half inch off the wall and that resolve that issue but I still feel there weren’t many choices for ceiling mount barn door brackets so take your time and Try to visualize how it’s going to look on the wall once it’s mounted very important try to mount those brackets into a beam do not use any kind of Sheet rock ceiling mount hooks the amount of weight is tremendous between the doors and brackets and all the hardware tremendous week coming down make sure you catch the beam dead center not just the edge I will come down and hurt somebody I can’t stress take your time and you should be pretty happy with the jobWe had a tight space between the door and the ceiling and this worked AMAZING! We tried a few and searched for quit sometime... so we are super happy! Easy to install as well!A qualified tradesman installed this rail for me and he was very pleased with the quality of the product. He did have to purchase some longer bolts for my particular job, but otherwise all the parts noted in the product description were included. I would definitely recommend this product.working very wellThe installation directions could be easier to follow. Good, sturdy rail. Not a thing to dislike
